the challenge
LIOCO was founded by wine industry experts on the belief that California could produce the long-lost wines of the 80’s, inspired by Europe. Today the winery is owned and operated by the Licklider family. Husband/wife duo Matt and Sara Licklider and their small team produce the wines in partnership with growers from Northern California. LIOCO seeks “Wine from Special Places,” finding fringe sites throughout three counties (Santa Cruz, Sonoma, and Mendocino), and focusing on Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Carignan. The sites feature older vines, interesting soil, and heritage clones
The website required a rebuild and new store integration that made it easy for users to navigate, look for trade asstes, book tastings, and shop wines.
our solution
A website was built on WordPress featuring LIOCO’s branding throughout the complete design. Commerce7, LIOCO’s winery ecommerce software, was integrated into the website and styled to match their aesthetic and designs. The shopping experience is seamless and allows users to quickly checkout. Apple Pay and Google Pay were integrated so mobile users can checkout with one click. Wine club signups and club customizations were also integrated to provide club members an easy user experience. LIOCO’s Tock account was integrated via modal for tasting room reservations. A dynamic grower portfolio showcases the incredible vineyards and growers behind the wines, and a knowledge base displays the trade and media assets that distributors and partners can download.
